Spinners play a key role in all teams, at all levels, across all format, with many of the most successful bowlers of all time being spinners. Bowling spin is something we think everyone should try, and the basics are often overlooked in favour of teaching everyone to bowl seam. In this second video, Ed takes a look at the basics of the finger spin bowling action, including the Back Foot Contact (BFC), Front Foot Contact (FFC), Release, and Follow Through position. He provides visual examples of the best spinners in the world, so you can see the positions they get into, and learn from them! As a former first class spinner it's great to hear Ed going back to basics and covering some of the key points that all spinners rely on to execute their skills.
